    Description

The German-American National Bund was organized in 1936, and was disbanded about 1941.  Only Americans of German descent were allowed to join the organization. This medal has a German inscription, around the New York coat of arms, on the obverse, and a pair of American and German shields with German inscriptions around them, on the reverse.  It is signed by the engraver, R. Vletkemann, on the reverse, and stamped "FS" (fine silver) on the edge.  Fine Silver, 40 mm diameter, and in near mint condition.
