EMPEROR NAPOLEON III – 1867 Medal – UNIVERSAL EXPOSITION PARIS
Medal celebrating the 1867 World Exposition in Paris.
The Obverse has the requisite bust of Emperor Napoleon III; the Reverse portrays Winged Victory hovering over the world with a large map of the Exhibition grounds in her hands.
The medal was designed by engraver Hubert Ponscarmé.
It is 51mm wide and 60 grams in weight.
The medal has been cleaned previously, but scratching is minimal.
