Two Bishop & Stonier Butter Pats, blue floral w/gold trim "Montrose"

Description

This pair of butter pats from Bishop and Stonier in a rather elaborate floral pattern, called "Montrose". They are in a pale blue, close to flow blue (certainly would coordinate with a flow blue setting); each measures 3 inches across. There is no loss to the gold rim on them, remarkable for their age (probably from the 1890's). The condition is excellent. There are a couple of very tiny discolorations that I believe occurred in their production, and one of them has a sort of rough plate edge on the bottom that one might call a chip, but this is of course not visible in the upright position (see left pat in photo 2.) Fully marked, as you can see. Price is for the pair.
